97 stock and 158 mod
I am, by no means, a rocket scientist, and I don’t have the chops to create accurate recreations of actual spacecraft and certainly not aircraft, but I do like sharing ships that work as a sort of educational gift.
As such, I have a few design concepts. One, is to thoroughly utilize each tech level. I will do as much as I can at a given tech level before spending my points on upgrades.
Two, when I do move the the next tech level, I do as much as I can with the previous tech level. For example, I’ll start with a TL6 Mk1-2 Command Pod but the rest of the ship will be TL5 and lower parts. That is, until I’ve played out that machines capabilities.
Three, I start with stock ships because everyone has stock at least. I don’t want you to have to load a gazillion mods just to fly my ship. (And my machine couldn’t handle it anyway.)
Four, I don’t mix a lot of part mods. If I build a ship it will be stock plus likely one mod (or a suite of mods such as Near Future).
Finally, I have a KSP Blog: The Sky Calls (https://the-sky-calls.dreamwidth.org/)
