Description
So someone on the Facebook group asked if anyone had launched an asteroid into orbit from Kerbin’s surface before. This is what happened next.
The asteroid in the video above is a class A weighing 150 tons. The craft will probably do slightly bigger rocks but it’s kinda doubtful. This was pretty sketchy as it was.
So here’s how to launch your own asteroid.
1) Capture and safely crash an asteroid near KSC.
2) Push the asteroid under this aircraft and precisely align the claw with the asteroid’s center of mass.
3) Flip it over and launch!
A mod aircraft called Asteroid Launcher. Built with 303 of the finest parts, its root part is HECS2.ProbeCore.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.1.2.
