The Plane
The Antonov A-15 is a single seat glider developed by Oleg Antonov. The planes first flight was in 1960 and about 350 of this open-class glider were produced. The design was a followup to the successful A-13 gliders design once again using a V shaped tail, but changed up the fuselage and wing design. It had a water tank holding 50 kg (110 lb) of ballast water helping the plane set many world record through the years. Today only a handful of this aircraft remain flying. The plane was approved to do Aerobatics and fly through and above the clouds.
My Interpretation of the Design
Still no efficient glider at all, but im still happy with how the design came out. Now that I have replicated all of the more normal Antonov gliders Im going to see if I can do the tank, if not Im going to start doing the powered Antonov aircraft.
