Description
A stock aircraft called Most Gauche. Built with 55 of the finest parts.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.9.1.
Designed - no, grown - by a group of renegade engineers at AHTech Industries this craft does not meet the company requirements for design meeting duration, documentation weight, and read tape length. After their suggestion of starting a more eco-friendly line of air- and space-craft was denied by upper management, a group of freshly hired engineers set out to implement their ideas on their own.
The Most Gauche is a fully organic craft, built exclusively from parts that were either organically grown or found in the trash heap behind AHTech Industries’ main workshop. The resulting inevitably narrow selection of parts gives the craft its delightfully nonstandard look. It is 100% solar powered giving it an endurance that is only rivaled by likewise powered craft. The craft includes a full mining rig, with drill, ISRU unit, and ore tank. When questioned why this was included in a craft that doesn’t use fuel and runs completely on solar power the designers said that they felt sorry for the parts
and that nobody else wanted them
. In contrast to its disorderly appearance it is a remarkably docile craft that willingly follows the directions given by the pilot. Only on the ground it has a small tendency to veer to the side.
The main throttle controls the propeller blade pitch: zero throttle sets a small amount of reverse thrust, 1/6 throttle set neutral pitch, and 1/3 to ½ throttle is enough for take-off or landing.
