• This is the Lockheed Martin SR-72. As far as we know, this is the concept for the hypersonic reconnaissance vehicle that has yet to come. This plane will be capable of Mach 6 on its own power. This is because Lockheed Martin Skunk works is working with Aerojet Rocketdyne to develop a method to integrate an off-the-shelf turbine with a supersonic combustion ramjet air breathing jet engine to power the aircraft from standstill to Mach 6.

Builder’s Note

• Despite the doubling in parts for this aircraft, it maintains a low part count and solves a lot of problems that made the former hinder your PCs performance. Every aircraft that I build is to be enjoyed on all computers, irrespective of specifications.

Version Two Fixes

• Complete Redesign that is closer to the real SR-72.
• Instability during takeoff has been remedied with heavier rear landing gears, and more ailerons to assist with yaw.
• Shorter takeoff speeds and more pitch control in flight thanks to added ailerons at the rear for pitch.
• Integrated struts making this hypersonic aircraft easier on your PC and more time warp friendly.
