Description

My first nuclear ship capable of atmospheric refuelling. This one has some scanning equipment, lots of life support good comms and is powered by NERVA. It features a cryogenic compressor for socking gas out of air and compressing it for use as a propellant. On kerbin you can get Nitrogen, on Duna there is plenty of CO2 and on eve there is both. There are other gasses, but in very low concentrations. None of them are particullary good, but CO2 is better. I realize that If I gone for liquid fuel i wouldn’t have to refuel at all.
This craft flew to Eve and carried some com sats and lander for gilly attached to the top docking port. It was designed to also fly to Duna, but I decided to send the payload unmanned instead.

A mod rocket called Lúčnica. Built with 71 of the finest parts, its root part is mk1pod.v2.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.6.1.
