This engine is the first one of it’s kind to be published by me on kerbalx
i hope this will inspire others to start working on their own versions.
note: this engine does not come with intakes and fuel tanks, you will have to provide your own.
instructions:
1 right click one of the rotors on the crankshaft so you can monitor rpm. this is very important because this engine is very powerfull and will overrevv if you are not carefull. engine starts to fail between 170 and 180 rpm.
2 press one to engage the starter motor
3 stage the engines and throttle up to about 25%
4 disengage the starter motor by pressing 2
5 once your plane gets up to 23-25 m/s it is very important that you press 3 to change the angle of attack on the prop. if you do not do this, once again: the engine will overrevv.
6 full throttle is not a problem. but you have to get some speed first so that the load on the prop becomes higher and the engine will not overrevv.
Furthermore: on some versions of ksp the rcs balls that i use as gears do not have physics, not sure why but if that is the case ( you will know this by the gears not engaging eachother.) you need to go into the part file and change them from physicless to having physics. this is as simple as changing a 0 to a 1.
enjoy!
