Description

Ready for use in any ship, station or base that can attach to any of the nodes of a 5m engine plate.
Includes full Science suite, with one of EACH conceivable sensor (athmospheric, vacuum, space, planetary…), scanners of every sort, storage for deployable ground equipment, redundancy for fragile equipment, snack storage… everything a Kerbal scientist might need or desire.

Comes with data storage unit; mobile lab (that can be used as such, with or without extra scientists, or double as Bob’s living quarters for LONG missions); confy chair from which to carry out EVA reports; ladder betwen lab and chair; assortment of computers for Bob to use for… science stuff; extra KAL controllers in case the mission’s needs call for them; and even its own backup EC source, comunication antennae and hop-capable probe core, in case the main ship, base or station’s become disabled.

Includes multiple external ladders (as the ship, station or base’s layout might vary); the user can freely remove any unneeded external ladder.

HATCH OPERATION
The lab’s bottom hatch is operative both ways; however, safety protocols dictate the top hatch to only work as entry-only. To start an EVA from the quarters, Bob must enter the lab (using the ladder reaching from the floor to the bottom hatch), then transfer to the secure airlock situated to the right; from there he can EVA normally. To reach his command seat from outside the quarters, Bob must first enter the lab (through its top hatch or transfering from either the secure airlock or from another module of the ship, base or station), then EVA it through the bottom hatch (using the inside ladder is here optional). Retracting the airlock is EXTREMELY discouraged for the difficulty to reach the inflate toggle.

DEFAULT ACTION GROUPS
(user can remap them according to the needs of the ship, station or base)
AG1: Toggle Sentinel / main magnetometer deployment.
AG2: Toggle all external ladders (toggling of internal ladder is discouraged).
AG3: Athmospheric SCIENCE! (user is advised to add crew report from any crewed module of the ship, station of base to this group)
AG4: Vacuum SCIENCE! (user is advised to add crew report from any crewed module of the ship, station of base to this group)

Now Bob’s quarters include a small pod with full cockpit information so Bob can write his own crew reports (trying to pilot from a cockpit facing the inside backplate is however strongly discouraged)
