Description

Ready for use in any ship, station or base that can attach to any of the nodes of a 5m engine plate.
Includes Convert-O-Tron and Drill-O-Matic units, twin termal control systems, ample (6520l) storage for deployable ground equipment and EVA construction material, snack storage… everything a Kerbal scientist might need or desire.

Comes with PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container (that could hold aditional engineers, or be used as Bill’s personal quarters for extended missions); a huge array of available robotic controllers ready to be used for whatever could be the needs of the ship, station or base; containers for every kind of resource, from ore to xenon, conveniently linked to drain valves shopuld Bill want to overclock them for infinite fuel get rid of excess weight; its own KerbNet access, resource scanners, and core probe, in case those of the main ship, base or station’s become disabled.

Includes multiple external ladders (as the ship, station or base’s layout might vary); the user can freely remove any unneeded external ladder. Includes a complimentary set of landing gear intended to keep the drill’s bottom hatch away from the ground; the user can freely remove or upgrade those according to mission needs.

HATCH OPERATION
The Hitchhiker Can’s side (now top) hatch is operative both ways; however, construction needs dictated the top and bottom (now sides) hatches to be disabled. A standard airlock was put in their place. To start an EVA from the quarters, Bob must enter the secure airlock (using the ladder reaching from the floor to the bottom hatch), then transfer to the can; from there he can EVA normally. To reach his command seat from outside the quarters, Bob must first enter the ship, base or station through any hatch, then transfer to the airlock, then EVA it through the side hatch (using the inside ladder is here optional). Retracting the airlock is EXTREMELY discouraged for the difficulty to reach the inflate toggle.

DEFAULT ACTION GROUPS
(user can remap them according to the needs of the ship, station or base)
AG1: Toggle termal control system deployment (be advised its sliing cover interferes in the open position with use of top hatch).
AG2: Toggle all external ladders (toggling of internal ladder is discouraged).
AG3: Toggle drill deployment, drill hatch, and landing legs (drill and Convert-O-Tron usages are not maped by default).
AG4: KerbNet access (in resources mode)

Many of the craft I post are made with or by my 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14-old daughter - and it shows in the… peculiar humor of some of them.
