A stock aircraft called LT-Supersonic II. Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1, with 13 of the finest parts, its root part is mk1pod.

This aircraft is an entry to the Low Tech Supersonic challenge in the KSP forum, by ImANoob, asking for a supersonic jet using the least amount of science points possible.

The LT-Supersonic II can cruise at Mach 1.6 (478 m/s) at an altitude of just under 11km, at the cost of just the bare minimum of 68 science points. Only the four tech nodes needed to get to the first available jet engine (the Juno) are unlocked by this, leaving very limited options for thrust and drag optimization. The additional self-imposed goal of this entry was to use only a single Juno.

Notes:

• The single mk0 LF tank is radially attached and offset into the nose cone to place it at the CoM for flight balance.
• The intake, the winglets, and the nosecone are attached to the cockpit. All other parts are attached to the mk0 tank and offset into their respective positions.
