A stock aircraft called Doslidnyk SSTO Prototype 2B. Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1, with 73 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark1Cockpit.

A rebuild and adaptation of an original by Vegvisir (formerly Doslidnyk), from a screenshot in the KSP forum (see below), at his request for assistance.

A spaceplane capable of >100km LKO with a >2.3t payload, using only Tier 6 tech or less. The goal was to achieve this with as little change as possible from the original prototype. Was it successful?

Update 2B: the rear section of the wings (large delta wing, elevon-2, elevon-3) have been remade with available parts, as Doslidnyk Vegvisir mentions the Advanced Aerodynamics tech node is not yet unlocked. Performance remains largely identical.

Ascent (example):

• SAS stability, full throttle, afterburner on
• stage and let it roll off the runway
• at 600m/s set SAS prograde
• stage swivels when accel. stops
• cut throttle when Ap gets 1km under desired altitude
• circularize (5s burn, 180 m/s) .

Descent (example, no cargo):

• set maneuver node at east crater rim
• burn about 82.5m/s retrograde
• set SAS radial out until 45km alt
• set SAS stabilize and drop nose slowly
• glide to landing at KSC runway
