leBhuji be like: If I was forced, for whatever reason, to choose just one of my KSP craft to save from a metaphorical fire, it would be this one. Seriously, I can’t stop flying it. I like to take off, hit F2, and watch it like a movie. Like, every thing I build in this game has one simple philosophy behind it (from an aesthetics stand-point): Would I want a 3D model of this? As of right now, the Shwifty may be that model. // Personally, I find this to be the best craft I’ve built in KSP, so far, period. It out-preforms all of my other craft, in just about every way [with the only true exception is PTRK’s compact maneuverability, but that’s what PTRK is], and I think it’s hands-down the sleekest. If only KerbPaint was stock! // Again, if I was forced to pick one, that one is the KTA-Shwifty.

Description

Another KSP caricature, brought to you by yours truly. This time of the KAI T-50, a South Korean prototype fighter. It was tough to go for exact replica, as I didn’t find much in the way of blueprints, so I figured let’s just make something cool in its honor. And let me tell ya, this thing is cool! It’s got two Whiplash for powah, and each can be activated separately, as well as together. But it’s all about the shape of this one. It looks sleek and sexy from every angle, and boasts the best bottom body lines I’ve built so far, in my opinion. (I mean, just look at that pic with the sun behind the plane! Such lines wow!) Seriously, though, I love this thing and I think you will, too. Important things to note: More ladder shenanigans, but it totally works fine. It may be deployed by default (it is in my save file, at least), just press 0 to retract it. All IVAs are slightly obstructed above their respective dashboards, but they actually look kind of natural, like how you’d be looking down the nose of your plane from the cockpit. The middle cockpit within the SPH is the front cockpit of the plane, and I recommend bringing no more than two kerbals and placing them in the middle cockpit and bottom cockpit in the SPH kerbal-assignment menu (or, just use Crew Manifest; so much easier). Unlike my previous craft, the landing flaps are separate from the brakes and are activated by pressing 5. They work in-flight and act as air-brakes, as well. //
A stock aircraft called South Kerea KTA-Shwifty (Stock). Built with 91 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit. It’s root part is the front-most cockpit.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.0.4.

UPDATE: Added Vernors because the only true fault of this plane was its inability to reverse. Engage RCS and press N to reverse (by default). I put 44 units of oxidizer in the front mk1-2 adapter to power the vernors and added Action 9 to toggle steering authority from the front wheel to the back wheels while reversing. Added Action 6 to toggle the tail because, well, I think it looks cool when landed. If you don’t like the vernors, feel free to remove them (once downloaded, it’s your plane. Do what you want with it :) ); but remember to remove the unneeded oxidizer.
