Description
This is a base for those times when showing off is more inportant than fuel-economy. It can survive a collision with the ground at speeds up to 18m/s fully fueled, and parachutes slow down to 20m/s fully fueled, with empty tanks it falls at 15m/s. The areodynamics are shit and a straight up launch is recomended at first, start a gravity turn above 20 000m. The base section has a low TWR and can only liftoff from kerbin with almost empty tanks. the landing legs do not behave well under physical timewarp. Under no circumstances schould a sea landing be attempted. The station is named after the statue of liberty since it happens to resemble it.
A stock rocket called Liberty station 1.1 stock. Built with 242 of the finest parts, its root part is xenonTankLarge.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.2.9.
this is the same as liberty station 1.1 but i excluded the probe that held the modded part
but since that part is included in the 1.3 prerelease i consider the other one stock as well
