Information
The Mantis is a simple rocket for practising your landings under only rocket power. It is optimised for use in the lower atmosphere: pointy nosecone for both aerodynamics and to point in the right direction; full-size Control Unit for all SAS options; high-thrust RCS for manoeuvring and a hefty ‘foot’ to put all that weight on. I hope you find use in this craft, it’s especially helpful if you’re taking your first Musky steps into the Recoverable Unknown. Enjoy!
A stock rocket called ‘Mantis’ Vertical Return Experiment. Built with 53 of the finest parts, its root part is fuelTank3-2.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.1.3.
To fly, just turn on SAS and RCS and throttle as you please :-)
