Description

Duna Excursion Vehicle Ascent Rocket, or DEVAR for short, is a medium-sized crew transport designed for Duna orbital landing and ascent. Features enough fuel to land with the parachute with much to spare, and once refueled by the Duna Mobile Base, should have ~1000m/s of delta-v in orbit.

LANDING INSTRUCTIONS:
Approach base, keep TWR around 0.95-1.01, use RCS to approach the pad. Hover above the pad’s docking port, then use RCS to translate the vehicle down on to the port. Cut throttle once on or close around the port, and wait for the ports to attract eachother.

TAKEOFF INSTRUCTIONS:
Undock the DEVAR from the Duna Mobile Base and slowly raise the throttle until you’re off in to the sky. DO NOT FLOOR IT ON TAKEOFF. This might cause unintended damage to the pad or excessive ablator use.
