Kerbin’s Next-Generation Airliner
Performance
Part Count: 336
Cruise Speed: 260m/s
Takeoff Speed: 70m/s
Range: 3800km
A Challenging Build
This is new territory for me, but this was a very fun build. This is an original design (though it doesn’t quite look like one) built for looks, but also high performance. It was built for HolidayTheLeek’s airliner challenge here. As such, I spent a lot more time tweaking the performance, which was a new (and fun) challenge.
Flies like a classic
True to form, it handles like you’d expect a twin-jet airliner to handle (or so I hear). Lots of thrust for takeoff, realistic flaps, and the ability to handle an engine-out scenario (though a two-engine out ditching minutes after takeoff is still a bit rough…)
RCS - flaps, takeoff setting
1 - flaps, landing setting
Cheers, and happy flying!
