Superheavy Single-Launch Station
A stock rocket called Tycho Station. Supports internal 2001 a space odyssey docking for any ship that’ll fit, but it’s designed for my SpaceBus ssto.
If you turn the lights on you’ll get an alignment indicator in the bay, in the form of some utility lights. You should see circle aligned vertically and horizontally with the two outside lights, then you know you’re on course.
There’s an staging group, the third up from the bottom. Move that down to the second up from the bottom, because I forgot and can’t be bothered to fix it.
Station is equipped for habitation for 513 kerbals. Has external docking ports for 8 ships, and capture ports for 8 ships or asteroids, with all the processing equipment included.
If you strip it down to exactly what you need and don’t stage off the engines on the fuel tanks, you’ll have an absolutely unbeatable go-anywhere machine, with a cargo bay for storing whatever ships or equipment you might need for any mission, replete with a remarkable amount of delta V.
Owing to the high part count and… dodgy construction in the name of lowering that part count, I highly recommend installing the Kerbal Joint Reinforcement mod. (you may have to change the version on that mod, but it’ll still work. Not sure if it’s still being updated)
