The mighty indomitable Spacebus
A generally unremarkable SSTO. The main purpose is to work with my unreasonably large space station, as it fits precisely into the docking bay there.
Recommended flight profile is as follows:
Take off as normally. Lightly tap the pitch up key to raise the nose from the ground at around 60m/s. Minimum takeoff speed is around 90 m/s, with stall speed around there as well. The plane will lift off on its own.
Pitch up to 15 degrees and hold.
At ~15000 ft, or when acceleration exceedes 2G or when airspeed exceeds 1000 m/s, pitch up to 20 degrees.
At ~24000 ft, or on engine flameout, switch to Closed Cycle mode with action group 1.
Lock SAS to prograde and monitor apoapsis, velocity, temperature, and vertical speed, adjusting as required.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.4.5.
