Classic 3 Spacecraft and Jool 1B Launch Vehicle

Classic inspiration meets modern innovation in this extra-capable crewed spacecraft designed for full-service missions to LKO and beyond! We didn’t want anyone to feel left out, so we brought you the craft with a little something for everyone.
 
The launch vehicle’s a nod to the Saturn 1B, featuring a gas-guzzling yet budget-friendly 12x first stage engines, delivering a healthy 1.5+ TWR off the pad. At first stage burnout the retro and ullage rockets fire, before the second stage Skiff burns to desired apoapsis. Normal flight plans call for relighting second stage to circularize orbit.
 

Classic 3 Spacecraft

The Classic 3 sports a vintage look, but check under the hood to discover a wealth of features and conveniences, including but not limited to -

• Skiff engine provides raw power and efficiency both in space and at sea-level, in addition to the ability for propulsive landings back on Kerbin. 34 RCS nozzles provide superior maneuvering and stability.
• Intelligent design includes Remote Guidance, Experiment Cabinet, and all the science instruments we could cram, including a magnetometer boom.
• Did we mention propulsive landings? Capsule has extendable drag fins for additional stability. Unlock with 9 and extend with 8. And in case you’re feeling less than adventurous (or if something screws up), we’ve included 2x drogues and 1x main chute.
• Additional features like redundant power generation (solar and fuel cells), fuel vents, colored docking lamps, 2x Cargo Racks, a full complement of EVA and Repair Kits, and a bottle of RCS fuel for good measure.
