Description
A futuristic take at a VTOL capable close air support vehicle.
Designed and Produced by the ASRA Aircraft Company.
Flying Instructions
Takeoff:
Press 1 to enable the vertical engines and throttle up fully. The engines will take some time to spool up but will provide adequate lift to take off.
Press action group 3 to unlock the landing gear. After the landing gear is unlocked, the G key will raise and lower the skis. It is not necessary to lock the skis when landing, but it is recommended on uneven surfaces where the craft could tilt or lean to one side.
Forward Flight:
Press 2 to toggle the forward-thrust engines. The aircraft tends to pitch down due to the placement of the engines. This effect lessens after the aircraft has reached moderate speeds. To avoid crashing because of the pitch issue, do not activate the forward thrust engines until a safe height has been reached.
Landing:
Press 2 to deactivate the forward-thrust engines. Pitch up to kill the horizontal momentum. Setting the throttle at just over 2/3, about 70%, will result in a slow and controlled descent. DO NOT CUT THROTTLE COMPLETELY WHILE DESCENDING. Junos take a while to spool up again and cutting them on descent could result in a unplanned meeting with the ground.
Enjoy!
