Minmus Crawler

A stock rocket called KSL Duna Worm (with Launcher & Tug stages). Built with 292 of the finest parts, its root part is cupola.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.1.3.

Launch when Duna is in optimal position relative to Kerbin.
This craft gets to Kerbin orbit. Re-fuel tug stage in orbit before heading to Duna.

The single nuke engine takes a long time to decelerate at Duna. Time it to run out when you hit a Duna periapsis of ~24000 and then use the main rover engine while aerobraking to avoid blowing up. I needed 2 orbits of Duna until it captured.

Deploy landing gear & parachutes + use rover jump jets to cushion landing/slow in atmosphere.

You could probably do this better with an additional stage between rover and tug that includes an inflatable heat shield for Duna entry.
