Description
A stock aircraft called Housefly (VTOL Version). Built with 24 of the finest parts, its root part is mk1pod.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
This is the VTOL version of the Housefly.
It uses four little Twitch rocket engines to fly vertically.
Of course, there isn’t much fuel for hovering, but if you just stick to actual takeoffs and landings (and don’t suck at them like I do), and don’t hover too much, there is enough for two vertical takeoffs and landings.
I was able to fly from the KSC runway to the island and back to the VAB helipad - all with vertical takeoffs and landings.
Keeping the center of mass from moving as fuel is consumed wasn’t easy, but I think I got it just right. The pod’s reaction wheels are strong enough to counter the minimal movement that’s left.
Action 1 toggles the vertical engines.
Action 2 toggles the jet engine.
Range: 200km? (should be half of the jet version)
Max Speed: 220m/s
