Description

The NF-15B, commonly referred to as the F-15 ACTIVE, was a modified F-15 used by NASA to test thrust-vectoring, canards, short takeoff or landing, and other modifications. It is capable of performing extreme maneuvers and it can operate from short and/or damaged runways. It was also used as a test aircraft for the F-15E Strike Eagle’s avionics.
