Reliable LOW part count STOCK carrier!
Loading in at 400 parts flat, the KSS Kerman is the entire length of the SPH.
After shedding wheels and docking clamps, this carrier is only 362 parts. She is powered by
3 Goliath turbofan engines and can pull about 20m/s in water (or 30m/s on land see pictures below!). This carrier allows large jets like the F4 Phantom to land on her and is very easy for smaller jets to land on. She can hold a crew of 145 and has an emergency escape pod built into the control tower! Control from here
on the probe core near the green light for correct navball orientation.

HOW DO I USE THIS MONSTER??
It’s very simple actually. After much testing this craft will ALMOST always load safely. Stage dock clamps to gently set the ship onto the runway. I highly recommend entering the water parallel to the runway as there is a STEEP drop-off at the end that will tend to destroy the ship. The controls are simple and as follows:
1:Toggle Main engines
2:Toggle Left Turn
3:Toggle Right Turn
4:Toggle Strafe Left (fires both port engines)
5:Toggle Strafe Right (fires both starboard engines)
6:Toggle Solar Panels
Abort:Launch Escape Pod
Brakes:Toggle Land Brakes & Toggle Main Engine REVERSE
NOTE:
Reverting to Launch
almost always cause a spontaneous explosion on loading. To reload, you must launch from SPH.
The secret to low part count is enabling auto strut AND rigid part attachment on most of the parts of the ship. Though you just can’t beat a good strut here and there ;)
