Description
A science rover? A spaceship? A mining facility? A fuel tanker? A rally car? A panoramic car?
All of the above, and more

Dancing Porcupine rover can
- cruise around planets at over 30 m/s
- routinely survive crashes at over 30 m/s
- land and take off from any planetary body no bigger than Duna
- refuel itself
- fun to drive from cockpit view
- go up cliffs
- collect science everywhere
- drive by night
- fall down cliffs and survive (which will surely come in handy if you drive by night at full speed)
- dock with anything
- carry fuel and ore
- complete with launcher
- launcher does not need manuevering
Launch instructions:
- important: press 9 before launch: it will select the appropriate command module
- activate SAS, throttle liquid fuel engine to max, launch
- set
hold prograde
between 75 and 80 m/s - cycle throgh the stages. shut down main engine when apoapsis is 75 km
- once out of the atmosphere, discard the fairing and start to circularize orbit after discarding the main engine, there are a couple of things you need to do before activating the rover’s rockets. you are about to change the direction of the engines, you must adjust the control point accordingly
- find the probe core (on the left side, between the two rockets) and select
control from here
; - press 1 (it will extend the hinges, pointing the rockets downwards)
- now you can activate the rover rockets and finish circularizing.
Warning:
- when flying, you must control the vehicle from the probe core. you can use the rockets to accelerate upwards, downwards, or forward; change your control point accordingly depending on your needs. Dancing porcupine manufacturer not responsible if you crash your rover on a hillside because your command pod was trying to point in a direction and the rockets were pointing somewhere else.
- porcupine armor will cushion any hit upwards to 30 m/s, and it’s generally reliable up to 40 m/s. Going faster than that invalidates warranty. the same goes for jumping from really high cliffs
