just a silly ship i made for a contest to land on eve without parachutes, rockets, or thermal shields
A stock rocket called bigger cake tray
no parachute lander. Built with 792 of the finest parts, its root part is HECS2.ProbeCore.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.10.1.

the contest called for aerobraking in eve’s atmosphere and landing without using any thermal or aerodinamic parts, or parachutes. points were scored by higher atmospheric reentry speed, higher mass, and not breaking anything.

cake tray takes advantage of the structural tubes taking higher temperature than most parts, so it reenters at over 5 km/s. it may be necessary to use its tray as a wing in the final descent to slow a bit more, landing below 25 m/s is safe.
