A small single prop aircraft built for one purpose, towing gliders into the sky, but turns out also makes a very good training craft as it’s extremely easy to fly and land.
It launches with a command pod unceremoniously plonked on it’s back, this is to make getting crew into the command chair simpler. Just go EVA, board the command chair and then hit stage to jettison the command pod.
R deploys it’s flaps. With SAS on deploying flaps will create significant lift (and also drag), without SAS it will make it nose down.
For take off switch off SAS and throttle up, the tail will lift up without you doing anything. Once the tail is up switch on SAS and deploy flaps and you’ll lift off nice and level. Like real craft of this small size, you want to almost stall it onto the runway when landing. Come in on about 1/3 throttle, as you approach the runway get almost level. You should still be dropping but you can control this with the flaps [R]. Once down switch off SAS and retract flaps [R] and let the tail come down on it’s own.
