The first of a named series of high performance
fully-enclosed turboprop planes, the Pipefish features an engine that is both smaller and even more powerful than the ones seen in my previous planes. This engine uses the dumpling tank/solar panel bearing and is extremely robust yet simple, allowing this particular plane to reach 100 m/s in level flight (barely)!
I hope I am correct in crediting Jon144 with the dumpling tank bearing idea - he is the first I know of to use it in his electro-turboprop planes so I would like to give credit where it is due.
To operate, press space to stage and throttle up. As usual, this plane requires a bit of babying and fine-tuning the trim to get off the ground, and then some more wrestling in the air to get up to speed. It will want to yaw hard right during takeoff and has torque roll like many prop engines. Fuel tanks are NOT topped off; any more fuel and it will not be quite able to reach its maximum top speed.
Since it uses the dumpling engines, this plane does require the DLC.
