Description
Ever since I started playing KSP, I have wanted to make a bipedal mech walker. This is a proof of concept I’ve been working on and I definitely want to refine it, but I hope by posting this it will help others more creative than I am to create & share their own mech ideas.
No krakentech here; to operate there are just a few things you need to do:
Upon launching the craft, immediately activate SAS
With SAS on, select the Radial In
SAS setting
When you’re ready to go, press 2 and the mech will start to walk.
If you want to stop walking, press 1 and the mech will revert to its standing position.
For now, there is only one walk speed. I plan on implementing a throttle and other pre-set maneuvers (jump, crouch) in future mechs.
A stock aircraft called Bipedal Mech. Built with 54 of the finest parts, its root part is structuralIBeam3.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.7.1.
