Space: The final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship-Enterprise-inspired aircraft. Her continuing mission: to explore strange, new parts of Kerbin. To seek out new plant-life, and new settlements, to boldly go where no Kerbal has gone before.

A while ago I was unsure of what to build, so I decided to make some sci-fi inspired craft. Of course the first place my mind went was Star Trek. I figured that I could make something that feels Federation-y, something that feels Klingon, and something that feels Romulan. I wanted to make a plane that looks a bit like the Enterprise D (NCC-1701-D), but isn’t an exact replica. So I made this. It is inspired a bit by the D, and a bit by the E.

Despite looking like a spacecraft, the Enterprise-Looking Plane’s four Juno engines confine it to the lower parts of the atmosphere. It is highly unstable, and as such SAS is a must, and even then serious babysitting is required to keep it airborne. It is therefore highly recommended that you drain the rearmost fuel tanks and fill the front of the saucer section (the farthest forward adapter) with oxidizer. Because of the lack of dedicated batteries, the solar panels are the main source of power (aside from engine alternators), so it is advised that you try not to fly at night with a low throttle setting.
