The Storm P for passengers is equipped with the powerful OPT J 61 engine and 2 Nerv Nukes.

No need for any OXY to reach orbit.

Reaching a 100km Kerbin orbit leaves 51% fuel.

Don’t forget to balance fuel with TAC Fuel Balancer before taking off.

Take off weight 33.7T

You can add extra fuel in the B9 wings, 3,5T more! The Storm P can easily handle it.

Take off around 100m/s

OPT engine J61 is powerfull monster

Aim between 30 and 40° on Navaball and keep it, always increasing vertical speed, even approaching Mach 1

You should pass 7500m around Mach 1, 300m/s, and VS 170

Keep your vector around 35° on Naval, increasing VS. There is no need for level flight to accelerate, because OPT J61 is too powerfull and you will quickly hit the heat barrier

Pass 10000m around Mach 1.2 VS 190-200

Be at 15000m around Mach 2.0 and VS 300, still around 35° on Navball

After 15km, OPT J61 power increase dramatically with speed and you need to reach quickly VS 375 to pass through the heat danger zone between 24 and 30 kms.

20km, Mach 3.5, VS 350 1060m/s, Navball 20° and heat begins to increase quickly

24km , Mach 4.4, VS 375 1300m/s Navball 15°

Keep VS 375 up to 27-28 kms where you get the maximum heat with Mach 4.8 at 28km

At 28km Apo is around 42km

OPT Power is decreasing

After 28 km quickly decrease VS to 250 then 200 and light on Nukes around 30 kms, you near Mach 5

OPT engine will leave you around 38 kms where you should be around Mach 5 and 1850m/s

Continue on nukes to Apoapsis.

For re entry, from 100km orbit I burnt to retrograde, belly facing space, to be at 100kms from runway.

Reaching 80 kms, burn to decrease surface speed around 1700m/s, that’s heat your ass.

At 50kms, speed brake out, Vernor on, RCS thrusters off, gently flip from retrograde to high AOA, 40 to 50° on Navaball, to decelerate and heat cockpit. It’s a 140° quick flip.

This will now heat your nose and belly.

You go through heat barrier and can experiment some flips but Storm is strong.
