AESV 2 is not able of flight in atmosphere du to overheating, you need to re dock it in your cargo to bring it back to Kerbin

Its 4 tweakscaled nuclear lightbulb engines from Atomic Age give it 10400 DV which allow very long interplanetary transfert far beyond Jool. They are cooled by means of 4 AHMS from Heat Management, working automatically, but sometimes you will have to run each pump to allow NH3 cooling liquid to refill. In addition there is 4 deployable radiators.
They are vectored with Hinges from Infernal Robotics that allow horizontal flight as well as vertical flight over low gravity planet surface for exploration.
Hovering has never been so easy with the preset values.
Avoid using full power when moving hinges.
It is perfectly balanced and easy to pilot in any mod. Hinges Values are preset and will be indicated in technical
Its 4 Karbonite mini drills coupled with a Converter leave it free from any refueling station or refinery, provided you have send a ship to scan for Karbonite and map the planet you want to explore.
An internal electric network working automatically leaves you free with all maneuvers needing electricity, even when engines not running.
You can add more science stuff, but be careful for good balancing.
All science stuff resettable via ladders.
Automatic flight if needed.
YOU NEED MODULAR FUEL TANK mod to get the squad tanks FT-800 full of 700L fuel and 100L small space for Karbonite. If you don’t have this mod you’ll get Oxy you don’t need with fuel….
This mod is not compatible with TWEAKSCALE when you try to tweak scale squad tank (quantities will not be right)
