The N1 rocket which would have carried the Soyuz 7K-LOK and the LK lander was the third design for a Soviet lunar manned mission. This is my approximation of it which I have summed up as Sangh N1 and includes the Sangh 7K-LOK and its associated lander. My version has a crew of two and either one or both can be sent along with the lander, however this means the main ship might be unmanned and thus make return slightly more difficult.
The massive first stage gets the rocket into the upper atmosphere while the second stage completes the journey to space and begins the orbital process. The third stage completes the orbit and begins the munar insertion while the fourth stage completes this. The fifth stage known as Blok (after the Blok-D stage used in a number of Soviet rockets) is a bit different as it is used for munar orbital insertion, any necessary orbital adjustments, and as part of the mun descent process for the lander.
The lander itself essentially uses two stages for the descent with the Blok being ejected prior to landing which allows the lander’s main engine to have enough fuel to ascend and dock with the Sangh 7K-LOK.
The Sangh 7K-LOK lacks solar panels and instead gives you two options for fuel cells, one for liquid fuel and the other for monopropellant. The lander uses a couple of small solar panels as fuel cells would be considerably increase in the lander’s weight.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.0.5.
