While the Soviet space program dominated the early space race with the first manned mission, the first two-man mission, the first spacewalk, and the first three-man mission they launched far fewer space missions than the Americans. This eventually led the Americans to overshadow the achievements of the Vostok and Voskhod missions in later Gemini and Apollo missions. The ambitious Soviet designer and engineer, Sergei Korolev, began development of the Soyuz spacecraft in 1963 towards the end of the highly successful Vostok programme.

The launch of Soyuz 1 in April 1967 began an illustrious career for the Soyuz spacecraft, which through a systems of upgrades and redesigns continues to fly today. The Soyuz 7K-OK was the finalized design earth-orbit version of the Soyuz 7K and almost ended with the tragedy of Soyuz 1 in which veteran cosmonaut, Vladimir Komarov, lost his life. However the craft continued to be used in addition missions Soyuz 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 and achieved many additional firsts including first docking of two crewed vessels and first transfer of crew between two crewed vessels.

The Sangh 7K-OKCA is a modification of my Sangh 7K-OK build and uses parts from CONTARES which are more accurate to the historical Sangh 7K-OK spacecraft with its original probe and drogue docking mechanism. This has been built primarily to allow for missions similar to Soyuz 4/Soyuz 5.

It is otherwise a three-crew spacecraft capable of extended long-term missions in LKO (Low Kerbal Orbit) and MKO (Medium Kerbal Orbit). The craft possesses two large solar wings, used in some form on most Soyuz craft, along with ~1900 dV worth of fuel to allow for virtually any type of mission including extreme inclination changes. A number of aesthetics are also present to act as a mock up for multiple antennae and cameras used in the radar and docking system as well as a mock up for the Vzor periscope system. There are also several forward-facing lights used for docking operations.

The launcher, a loose adaption of the Soyuz 11A511 lifter, is a three-stage rocket with the booster and first stages fired together. It may make the rocket a bit ungainly for some but it should remain stable under most ascent conditions. The combination of engines is very powerful so it will be a fairly vertical ascent, as such I recommend being cautious with your angle-of-attack during the pitch procedure. The boosters should help get you into the upper atmosphere and then immediately ejected. The first stage will finish either somewhere at the very end of your ascent or early-on during the circularization. I have included some small separation motors to get the first stage clear of the rest of the vehicle. The much smaller second stage will handle the orbital circularization and might even have a bit left over for last-minute. I have also put some separation motors on the second stage which should reduce its perigee by about 50km.
