The Prometheus III-A is a modification of Blue Dog Bureau’s Prometheus III which in turn is an approximation of the Titan III-C launch vehicle which was NASA’s continuation of the Titan rocket for launching interplanetary probes and planned but later scrapped Manned Orbital Laboratory (MOL). This specific craft is a build of the Titan III-A which simply added a third stage to test out then new and powerful Transtage, approximated here by the Metis engine.
Since the historical launcher was mostly just a prototype for testing out the Transtage this launcher has a limit to what payloads it can carry mainly due to the limited efficiency of the first and second stages. My test flights have shown it’s pretty good for lifting small satellites into MKO (Medium Kerbal Orbit) and HKO (High Kerbal Orbit). This can be used as an early lifter for small geosynchronous satellites or even for small munar/minmunar missions.
