The Zodiac Multi Module Station (MMS) is the next step-up from single module space stations such as the Capricorn but to save development time has been modified from pre-existing orbital structures such as the Capricorn and Sagittarius.

The Capricorn Crew Module (CCM) is modified from the original Capricorn space station using the station’s crew and laboratory modules. The forward airlock and docking port have been entirely removed and replaced with a module expansion port. The rear of the module has been replaced with an EVA airlock and a small set of four linear RCS ports to provide further torque for the space station.

The launch vehicle for the CCM is a core stage with two booster rockets which should handle the ascent and burn into a parking orbit. There is an attached tug which should have enough fuel to bring it to just about any orbit around Kerbin and possibly the Mun or Minmus. The tug should be discontinued once the CCM has been attached to the SCM.

The default configuration for the Zodiac MMS is to place a CCM on starboard and port to support two full independent crews although this isn’t strictly necessary. The CCM can also function as a de-facto independent space station since it possesses a set of solar panels but lets a smaller docking port for the Pisces (or similar craft).
