Description

The Ilion is a light long-range SSTO. It is a little heavy at 34 tonnes for just 2 RAPIERS, but a little pitching down will get it past 400m/s (you shouldn’t need to pitch below horizontal). It carries 5 crew, including the pilot, and has ISRU facilities which mean that it can go to many places (although the NERVA hasn’t got the TWR for Vall and larger). Designed as a long range craft for Laythe, and to prove a point to a forum-goer. (The point was that their craft could be lighter.) Remember that there are fuel cells clipped in somewhere, which the ISRU runs on.
A stock aircraft called Ilion. Built with 69 of the finest parts, its root part is Mk1 Inline Cockpit.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.8.1.
