Description

This craft is a working heli-plane and the built-in autopilot can keep it reasonably stable. The fuel cell stacks are enough for permanent full powered flight. Handling in Block B has been vastly improved.

Controls:
1: Toggle Horizontal Motors
2: Toggle Vertical Motor
Blade Pitch is controlled via Main Throttle!

CAREFUL: A throttle position of 0 will give a slight reverse power on the horizontal and vertical props! This can be used to push back or press to the ground.

Horizontal Take-Off: Toggle Motors (1), push throttle to >2/3, engage autopilot, rotate at ~70-80 m/s.

Vertical Take-Off: Engange auto-pilot, toggle motor (2), raise throttle until take-off.
While ascending, lower pitch to gather some speed. At about 900m and/or a speed of >30m/s disengage the vertical motor (with ‘2’) and engage the horizontal motors (with ‘1’).

Vertical Landing: Slow down, lower throttle to ~½,, disengage horizontal motors and engage vertical motor. Stabilise flight and lower throttle to adjust to a slow descent.

A stock aircraft called Dombrowski-Sedlitz B. Built with 103 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.10.0.
