This is a stripped down low-mod version I’ve uploaded at the request of toadicus so they can do some testing with their tweakable everything mod to try to find out what makes this craft take such a long time to load in the VAB when the mod is installed but only a few seconds when the mod isn’t installed. This ~2,300t craft is meant to put 9 FULL orange tanks (with 5 large nuclear rockets) and a small tug into LKO (100x100). NOTE: it will NOT achieve this without FAR installed and MechJeb2 also helps. The final craft in orbit is meant to dock onto the end of a large station in order to push it out of Kerbins SOI. Not really sure where I’m sending it TO yet though… ;). Feel free to re-purpose it into anything you might want. ;) Built in the VAB in KSP version .90. For MechJeb2, I use these launch turn settings - limit acceleration to 9, start with it disabled and toggle it on/off to throttle up and down - auto staging (stop at 5) - turn start: 8km - turn end: 75km - final angle: 0 - turn shape: 65%. Launch is full power to Mach .85 (~3.5-4k), kill throttle and coast on the SRBs to 11k then full throttle again till apoapsis reaches 60k. Throttle off and coast on SRBs again till the 2nd/inner set is staged off. Back to full throttle till apoapsis = 100 and coast. At apoapsis, circularize. If the last external orange tanks have not gone already, stage them off as periapsis passes 0 (they should be just about out of fuel anyway and this way there’s no cleanup needed). When close to your docking target, stage off that last maneuvering tank to free up the docking port. Only that final tank should need manual cleanup from the tracking station. If there’s enough interest, I’ll post the full mod version that uses remote tech, tac lifesupprt, Some B9 lighting & aviation lights, a bit better tweaked staging, etc…
