Description
Boeing’s 6th Generation F/A-XX Fighter. This was my most popular design on KerbalX back in 1.0.2. I have recreated it in 1.3.1.
Boeing designed a tailless supersonic fighter with high maneuverability. They created two variations: one for the U.S. Navy that has canards, one for the U.S. Air Force without.
I elected to add the canards to this replica. If you prefer to have the U.S.A.F. version, remove the canards.
This craft requires Ferram Aerospace and Atmospheric Autopilot. Suggested values are:
AoA: 35 degrees
G Limit: 9 degrees
Sideslip: 5 degrees
Note: this craft is highly area ruled, and very efficient at all altitudes. However, it is not super-maneuverable. It will stall above 50 degree AoA. I recommend that you limit your AoA to 40 or lower.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1.
