Description

The KG-50 are a series of light glider aircraft, extremely efficient at travelling long distances with no propulsion. Because of the space center’s low altitude, the KG-50 is fitted with a small turbine engine to get it to a good starting height.

BEST GLIDE:
50m/s 0 degree pitch
60m/s +3 degree pitch
70m/s +5 degree pitch

STALL SPEED: 20m/s
DO NOT EXCEED: 140m/s
TAKEOFF ROTATE SPEED: 30m/s to 45m/s (Rotate gently)

STALL RECOVERY: During deep stall, control surfaces will not provide enough force to pitch the craft downward. At this time immediately cutoff throttle if engaged. During stall glider will pitch to a nose up attitude and airspeed will decrease rapidly until it begins to fly backwards. At this point adjust for a standard nose-up attitude so that the tail of the craft will pitch up. When the craft begins to fly forwards again, center pitch until safe or until airspeed is above 30m/s, then continue regular flight.
