Description

A conceptual design nicknamed the Flying Nightmare, not by the enemy, but by the pilots. This craft flies like a jet and lands like a helicopter, and transitions only by pitching, no heavy rotors needed.

TAKEOFF: 2/3 throttle, pitch slightly forward until stable.

VTOL to FLIGHT: Pitch forward between 40 and 50 degrees until airspeed increases beyond 40m/s, keep center engine aimed towards the ground.

FLIGHT to VTOL: Engage speedbrakes and spoilers, pitch SLIGHTLY up (5 to 15 degrees) until airspeed decreases below 10m/s, keep speedbrakes engaged if landing.

LANDING: Touchdown front legs first, minimal horizontal speed, vertical speed under 6m/s.

A mod aircraft called J60 Mosquito. Built with 81 of the finest parts, its root part is MK1Fuselage.
