Description

This version of the AJ-3 includes instruments for short takeoffs and landings. For perspective, the original AJ-3 can land on the VAB helipads, while the AJ-3N can land in half the distance.¨¨The AJ-3 combines the power of an airplane with the efficiency of a glider, able to cut back to 1/3 throttle at cruise altitude to save fuel. Its efficiency is balanced by its maximum load, only being useful for transporting one kerbal and a few pieces of luggage.¨¨Take off with flaps stowed, land with flaps deployed.¨¨Rotation speed: 27-30m/s¨Max. cert. airspeed: 200m/s¨Landing speed: 20-40m/s
