Transonic single-engine Soviet jet fighter developed from the MiG-15, and used extensively in the Vietnam War. The MiG-17 was more capable of sustaining >Mach0.9, and the first Soviet jet to be fitted with an afterburner.
Though superficially very similar to the MiG-15, the MiG-17 had a longer fuselage, sleeker cockpit, thinner and more severely swept wings for greater aerodynamics, and three characteristic wing-fences per wing, rather than the Mig-15’s two.
Built with 58 parts, to exact scale, and using appropriate systems, weapons, engines, colour scheme etc. wherever possible.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.1.3.
AedsPlanes are replicas of historic aircraft built as accurately as possible, and usually to 1:1 scale. Enjoy the experience of being a real Kerbal Airforce pilot!
(For added immersion, install flag mod World Aircraft Insignia by ChaseAEd and add real airforce roundels to your planes).
