Intended to be the USA’s first jet fighter, this plane design was hugely ahead of its time - one of the many brainchilds of aircraft-design legend Clarence Kelly Johnson. Decisionmakers, however, felt it was too ambitious, and the USA’s first jet - the P80 Shooting Star was a much more boring affair.

Design started in 1939 for USAF’s first jet fighter. Never went into production or even flew, but design influenced the P80, and, had elements which were later revived in planes such as the F117 Nighthawk, B2 Spirit, and F22 Raptor.

Model built with 54 parts, precisely to scale, and using appropriate systems, weapons and colour scheme / textures where possible.
~Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.1.3.
