Description

A second-generation flying wing. This version is the most stable yet, with full compatibility for MAF (Mouse Aim Flight Mod), but do not use MechJeb’s heading hold.

The engine is from BDA+, and random non-critical pieces from Airplanes plus. If you change out the engine (watch the COM, COL distance), you can use this as a stock craft.

Features a large number of all-purpose control surfaces, controlling roll and pitch, while yaw is handled by 2 sets of airbrakes on the wing, which can be used as standard airbrakes too. Can handle rough maneuvers without losing yaw control (unlike other, generation-one flying wings). Note that the on-ground steering is not as good (due to the lack of rudder), so land slowly (ideally, 40 m/s) and don’t apply breaking too fast.

Supersonic-capable, but cruise speed without afterburner is just shy of Mach 1 usually.

Somewhat of an STOL, needing only 40 m/s to take off and can accelerating quickly with afterburners. Likewise, landing can be done at low speed.

The wings are loaded with fuel, allowing extended range. Note that when the wings are empty, the COM will slightly shift forward, so be a little more careful with dives.

Afterburner is custom action group 1 (the 1 key)

This is my first successful (flyable/controllable) flying wing! More to come, including BDA combat version (gun turrets could work well on these)

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.5.
