Replica of the Mirage 2000-5, a jet I’ve always thought is beautiful despite being French.

For an aircraft to fly well, it must be beautiful -Marcel Dassault.

Sometimes, unfortunately, the French get it right. This thing flies way better than I expected it to, it performs exactly like a real delta wing: It’s great at getting the nose on and bleeding energy in the process. This thing struggles with the external tanks, but they’re fairly distinct to the jet so I wanted them, hit 9, jettison them and it becomes very capable.

Despite all the positive words about French design so far I still managed to get one over on them. Not sure why but for me, the real Mirage 2000 engine doesn’t have audio and always has an emmissive trail as if I’m in afterburner, even if the engine is off. I needed to get an engine with a similar size/performance. This left the opportunity to act out of spite, so I used the engine from the Eurofighter Typhoon on it :)

This thing took a fair bit of tuning on the autoslats and the autoeleflaperons? Autoflaperonators? Idk man all the control surfaces on the back act as flaps or elevators or ailerons or some combination of the three depending on input.

As always, Atmospheric Autopilot is heavily recommended.
