#replica

An F-22 replica that has aerobatic abilities similar to the real thing with very limited reaction wheel control (or none if you turn off the cockpit reaction wheels, or a ton if you turn on the ones I used as ballast in the back). It uses Nice MKseries Body for the great cockpit and payload bay combo, that just barely fits the real payload of 6 AIM-120Ds and 2 AIM-9Xs. The wings of the missiles clip a bit in the payload bay, but they don’t seem to mind so oh well.

It has automatic flaps and leading edge slats that adjust based on AoA, they’ve been tuned a fair bit for the control it has. I might adjust those numbers over time for improvements, but those are state secrets for now and you can’t have them. It can supercruise and go mach 2+ with AB at fairly low altitudes, it can even pass mach 1 in a vertical climb after takeoff with full payload and fuel.

I would recommend you edit the file for the MK22-V engine, it has less thrust than the real F-22 (a lot less, not even as much thrust as a single P&W F119) and gives it a bit too low of a TWR. I set it to 115kn dry thrust and 156kn wet (roughly a single F119) which gives it 1.12TWR in full AB with full fuel and payload, which is much closer to the (speculated) 1.25 the F-22 has.

I would also recommend (it’s basically a requirement) using the Atmospheric Autopilot mod, this thing is inherently unstable, like the real thing. It is just barely able to be flown at low speeds with no assistance, but beyond that you’ll need fly by wire, and I don’t think the stock version is near good enough.
