The F.A.T.B.O.T.T.O.M. (Flying All Terrain Buggy with Orbital Transport To Overseas Measurements), AKA: The Skybug. Stock KSP version 1.2.2.
A simple, robust, little, flying, Kerbal crewed rover that can quite easily be rocket deployed to anywhere on Kerbin. Designed for doing those multi-part surface measurements/reports/anomalies in one trip (and one landing). Plus will pootle around the low atmosphere
below X meters contracts. It’s cheap and low tech, meant for early career mode, with a pretty limited level of parts researched (only 3 items from the 90 science column). Also, it’s kinda cute and silly! ;-)
Use as demonstrated in my video: https://youtu.be/XpxOVl9zQz4
Make sure to re-enter retrograde, to slow sufficiently quickly. This build is best with a level 1 pilot for SAS (pretty necessary) and prograde/retrograde hold for easier rocket deployment and re-entry.
