Description
Bottom line up front on these landers: They have engines that fire through the heat shields. That allows you to deorbit with onboard engines before you enter and survive atmospheric aerobraking enroute to landing. This is a single probe. But as you can imagine, a craft stacked eight deep can explore all seven biomes of Eve in one mission. Weighing in at just under ten tons, these tailored Eve science probes can start out at 1.5 million meters from Eve, circularize to 100km, and land at any site you designate.
